Join Tejeda PTA & Be a Healthy T-Wolf!!

Tejeda PTA is celebrating Every Kid Healthy Week April 23-26th! 

Theme: Be Well! Eat Smart! Move More!

Monday 4/23 - Kick off Every Kid Healthy Week!
During all lunches students will be signing pledges to live a healthy life. Get Fit for Fiesta! All families, students & staff are invited to join us after school for a Jazzercise workout in the boys gym with our own Health teacher, Mrs. Blucher, from 3:45pm-4:15pm. Workout then refuel at our "make your own trail mix bar."

Tuesday 4/24 - BE WELL! 

Be well and exercise your brain by visiting the Book Fair during extended hours from 3:30pm-6:30pm then join us for our last Tejeda PTA Association Meeting, Officer Elections & Fine Arts Night at 6:30pm in the cafeteria.

Wednesday 4/25 - EAT SMART! 

During lunch students can buy or bring a fruit or vegetable then pick up a packet of Tajin spice to add more flavor to these healthy foods. All families, students & staff are invited to join the Tejeda PTA for a healthy meal or smoothie at Freshii (22026 U.S. 281 #101, San Antonio, TX 78258, 281 N between Evans and TPC) between 4-8pm for a healthy Eat For a Cause event. Freshii will be donating 10% of all sales back to Tejeda PTA.

Thursday 4/26 - MOVE MORE!

During all lunches, students can taste a variety of flavored waters and learn abut staying hydrated while exercising. Join the "Fit For Fiesta" weekend challenge! Spend at least 60 minutes exercising or some kind of fitness activity with your family this weekend.  The American Heart Association recommends at least 150 minutes a week of physical activity. Do something you like and will stick with, in order to build a active routine into your lifestyle. Just move more!

Try these other healthy Tejeda family recommended recipes:



1 cup quick oats
1 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup flaxseed
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup Dark choc chips
Mix all ingredients together. Refrigerate for 15 min. Make into 1 to 1 1/2 TBSP balls. Put in freezer for 10 min. Keep in fridge for up to a week.
