The success of our PTA depends on parent participation. When you volunteer at Tejeda, whether it is at one event or on a regular basis, you join us as a partner in your child's education. We appreciate
any time or talents that you can give to our Timberwolf community. We have several committees
that you can volunteer to be a part of!

Please be sure to join TMS PTA so that you are ready to volunteer! Remember in order to volunteer
at Tejeda, you must complete the NEISD Volunteer Criminal History Background Check.
If you are not already DPS cleared from last year, please "Register to Volunteer' by clicking
on the NEISD Volunteer button below.
Below are various areas where you can choose to volunteer throughout the year. All volunteer needs will be sent out thru Sign Up.com, our online volunteer system.
ADEPT (Alcohol and Drug Education Prevention and Training) – Assist with Red Ribbon Week activities in October by publicizing and promoting daily themes and decorating school with red ribbons.
Arts in Education - Help with PTA Reflections art program by encouraging participation, organizing and collecting student’s artwork, recruiting judges, and communicating with award winners.
Campus Beautification – Assist with beautification projects around the school.
Clothes Closet - Assist with volunteering at the NEISD Clothes Closet, collecting donations and organizing Lost & Found.
Eighth Grade Party – Assist with the end of year celebration for the 8th graders.
Faculty Appreciation – Provide food or serve food for faculty appreciation events.
Healthy Lifestyles – Assist the nursing office with various activities and/or projects as needed such as health screenings and other fitness activities.
History Faire – Assist at this Tejeda community event. Setup sites for participating cultural groups, help in refreshment area, organize student and community volunteers and assist with cleanup.
Library – Shelve books and/or help with the two Scholastic Book Fairs held during the year.
Student Activities – Assist Faculty and Student Representatives with school dance. Help sell tickets during lunch, put up decorations, serve food at dances, and chaperone. Help all student clubs and organizations.
Special Projects – Assist with monthly birthday cake celebrations for the students.
Workroom - Make copies for teachers; volunteers will be placed on a monthly on-going copy schedule. Click on the link to sign up for copy room volunteer shifts.
